The founding novel of the universe of Calces
This novel is the origin of the civilization of Calces . In a hero's journey, a curious and free young man, Côme, will leave his native village to confront the manufacturers of the great city of Calces. Driven by the desire to develop his village, he will realize the effects of industrial production on the plains of Calces, but also on men. This story is a metaphorical crossing of the history of design which aims to expose the responsibility of this discipline in a troubled time like ours.

Chapter 1 : The Craftsman
In this first chapter, Côme meets a craftsman who takes an identical look at the beauty of nature. Despite the reluctance of his parents, a twist of fate will grant him an interview in his house, not far from the edge of the forest.

Chapter 2 : The forest
Côme goes to see the craftsman who shows him his work and his machines. Annoyed by Como's remarks on the poor performance of these, he challenges the young man to cross the forest and go to the large industrial city of Calces to understand the tools.

Chapter 3 : Calces
Guided by Rudolf, the craftsman's assistant, Côme crosses the forest and finds himself stunned by the destructive force of the immense machines of Calces. It is during a big tool fair that Côme will meet Iron Shifting, their inventor, who will use Côme's talents to make the tools produced more desirable. Thinking of doing good, the young man finally accelerates the production and destruction of the ecosystem that surrounds the city.

Chapter 4 : The Polo Nebula
Devastated by his harmful action on the life of the ecosystem, Côme will let himself be guided by a strange boat.
